Letter
From Zahir al-Sultan in Sistan to Prince Ibtihaj Sultan in Tehran. Envelope dated 2 November 1914. It concerns the problems raised by a certain Sartip [brigader] who has asked for the hand of a twelve-year old girl. He is already married with children; the girl is against the match and especially does not want to move to Birjand away from her family. The writer offers some alternative resolutions, emphasizing that a forced marriage may result in tribal disputes, and in any case, an unhappy woman does not make a good wife.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk to Surur al-Saltanah
‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)'s letter to Surur al-Saltanah, writing about the relationships of men and women in Europe, that Iranian men dismiss their own wives and look for love and pleasure outside of their marriage while it is different in Europe, as men and women love each other and they prefer to spend their time with each other rather than with others. However, this is not Iranians' fault either, as they sometime are married when they are five or six, without their personal choice. He then thanks God that Surur is a perfect mate and says that he truly loves her....
